VanVihar Resort
Three days in the land of the Gir lions — the whole family together.
Every function — mandap, sanji, garba and the wedding — happens at VanVihar Resort, and most of us stay right there. Extra rooms are at Kanan Resort, about 300 metres along a lit walking path. The full address, maps and room details will follow with your RSVP confirmation.
Getting there
Plan to arrive on Monday, February 1 between 11 am and 1 pm — we'll welcome you with lunch. Nearest airport: Rajkot (Hirasar), about 190 km, roughly a four-hour drive. Nearest railway station: Junagadh, about 60 km, around an hour and a half by road. Detailed route maps and pickup points will be posted closer to the date.
Staying over
Everyone is hosted for both nights, February 1 and 2. The functions and most rooms are at VanVihar Resort; the rest of the family stays at Kanan Resort, about 300 metres along a lit walking path. Room allocations and check-in details are still being worked out and will be shared here.
Getting around on site
No shuttle fleet, and nothing to wait for — everything is within walking distance. VanVihar and Kanan sit about 300 metres apart along a lit walking path, four or five easy minutes, and golf carts run between the two for anyone who would rather ride. Every function happens at VanVihar, so once you have arrived there is no travelling between venues at all.
