The Celebrations
Rituals, music and a lot of food — here is how the days unfold. Exact timings will be confirmed closer to the date.
Day 1
Sunday, February 1-
11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Arrival & Welcome
Reach the venue, settle in, and join us for a welcome lunch.
-
Late afternoon
Mandap Muhurat & Sanji
The rituals begin — the mandap is blessed, and as the sun goes down both families gather over chai to sing sanji.
-
Evening
Kathiyawadi Dinner
A hearty Kathiyawadi night — bajra rotla, olo, sev-tameta and all the trimmings, made the way home makes them.
-
Post-dinner, till late
Garba Night
Dhol, garba and raas till the stars fade. And the night opens with something special: sealed clay matlas of undhiyu, carried in by dhol procession and buried in the embers — to slow-cook underground until tomorrow's lunch.
Day 2
Monday, February 2-
Morning
Breakfast
Gathiya, jalebi and a proper Gujarati morning spread.
-
Morning
Haldi · Pithi
Turmeric, songs and a lot of laughter as both families bless the couple — with brunch counters running alongside.
-
Midday
Undhiyu Dig-Out & Lunch
The matlas buried on garba night come out of the earth — live, in front of everyone — and lunch is served: undhiyu the old way.
-
Late afternoon
High Tea & Getting Ready
Chai and quick bites while everyone dresses up for the big night.
-
Evening
The Wedding
Baraat, pheras and aashirvad under the mandap — the moment everything leads to.
-
Late evening
Reception
Dinner, music and celebration late into the night.
Day 3
Tuesday, February 3-
Morning
Breakfast & Farewells
One last breakfast together, then checkout and goodbyes — with full hearts.
…and a few surprises we're keeping to ourselves until you're here.
Timings are approximate and will be finalized with the pandit.
